The enemy’s job is to come to steal, kill, and destroy—your destiny, your purpose, your hope, your strength, your joy, your family, your finances, your dreams, your aspirations, your calling, and everything that belongs to you.

But here is the good news: you can overcome.

As long as you remain grounded in the Word of God and believe what God says about you, you have the spiritual authority to stand against the attacks of the enemy. The Word of God is described as a two-edged sword—powerful enough to cut through the lies, deception, fear, doubt, and weapons that come against you.

Pay attention to the word “tries.”

The enemy may try to form a weapon against you, but that does not mean the weapon will succeed. Scripture reminds us that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper.” The enemy can send the attack, but God has the final word.

One of the greatest battles we face is not always what is happening around us—it is what we choose to believe and what we speak over our lives and circumstances.

Stop agreeing with the enemy.

Stop validating every negative thought. Stop accepting every word of defeat that is spoken over you. Stop allowing fear, discouragement, failure, or disappointment to define who you are or what your future will be.

You must learn to recognize the difference between what the enemy says about you and what God says about you.

If God says you are chosen, believe it.
If God says you are loved, believe it.
If God says you have purpose, believe it.
If God says you can overcome, believe it.

Your words matter because what you continually speak can shape how you see your life, your circumstances, and your future. Instead of speaking agreement with fear, begin speaking agreement with God’s promises.

When the enemy says, “You will never make it,” declare, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

When fear says, “It’s over,” declare, “God is not finished with me.”

When discouragement says, “You have no purpose,” declare, “God has a purpose and a plan for my life.”

You do not have to accept every thought that enters your mind. You do not have to receive every negative word spoken against you. Bring those thoughts into alignment with the truth of God’s Word.

My prayer is that everyone who reads this will come into the full knowledge of who they are and whose they are.

You belong to God.

Your life, your purpose, and your destiny are not defined by the enemy, your past, your mistakes, your circumstances, or the opinions of others. They are found in the principles and promises of God’s Holy Word.

So stand firm. Believe God. Speak life. Guard your heart and your mind.

The enemy may try—but through faith, the Word of God, and your trust in Him, you can overcome.

Do not agree with the enemy when God has already spoken.
