How You Start Your Day Matters.

How do you start your day? It’s a simple question, but the answer can shape everything that follows. The truth is, how you begin your day—and even who you begin it with—makes all the difference.

I’ve learned this firsthand. When I start my day with the Lord, everything shifts. There’s a noticeable difference in how my day unfolds. More often than not, my day ends in peace and thanksgiving. Not because everything goes perfectly, but because I’m grounded from the very beginning.

Spending time in the morning in meditation, prayer, worship, and speaking declarations over my life fills me in a way nothing else can. It centers me. It strengthens me. It reminds me of truth before the noise of the world tries to take over. That time becomes something I draw from throughout the day—a source of calm, clarity, and direction.

But I’ve also noticed the opposite. On days that feel heavy, unclear, or overwhelming, I often pause and realize something was missing: I didn’t start my morning with the Lord. Those are the days when I feel off track, like I’m trying to catch up spiritually and emotionally.

So I’ve made a choice—a daily, intentional decision—to begin each day with the Lord. Not out of routine, but out of necessity. Because when I do, I’m better equipped to face whatever comes my way.

How you start your day matters more than you think. Choose wisely
