Day 7: Rising into Hope and Freedom
Standing upright, restored, and walking confidently in God’s purpose
Scripture:
“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV)
The moral of this story—and my testimony—is about hope.
Hope is not denying pain; it is choosing to believe that pain does not get the final word. Hope lifts our eyes forward and reminds us that God still has a purpose, even when the present feels heavy.
Today, take a moment to reflect:
- What is crippling you?
- What is keeping you bound?
- What is preventing you from seeing forward into the possibilities of life—the life God has purposed for you?
Bring those things to Jesus. He is still calling people to stand upright. He is still loosening what has been bound for years. And He is still restoring hope.
Final Thought: Stand Up and Look Up
You may have been bowed down for a long time. You may have grown accustomed to carrying the weight. But Jesus sees you. He calls you. And He has the power to set you free.
Stand up.
Look up.
And allow hope to rise again.
You have reached the end of the 7 Days of Rising to Hope journey—but this is not the end of your story. Continue to rise, continue to hope, and continue to trust God’s purpose for your life.
Final Recap: 7 Days of Rising to Hope
Over the past seven days, we’ve walked through a journey of faith, healing, and restoration in the series 7 Days of Rising to Hope. Together, we acknowledged the moments when life weighs heavy—when we feel bound, unseen, discouraged, or ready to give up—and we allowed God’s Word to remind us that hope is never out of reach.
Through the story of the crippled woman in Luke 13:10–17, we were reminded that being bound does not mean being forgotten. Jesus sees us, calls us, and has the power to straighten what life has bent. This journey showed us that rising does not always mean our circumstances change immediately—but that our posture, perspective, and faith can.
We learned that:
- Rising begins when we admit we’ve done all we can
- Hope grows when we realize God still sees us
- Freedom comes through trusting the “But God” moments
- Healing reaches beyond the physical into the emotional, mental, and spiritual
- True restoration comes when we lift our eyes and place our hope in Christ
If this series encouraged you, let it be a reminder that your story is still unfolding. What bowed you down does not get the final word. God is still working behind the scenes, still lifting burdens, and still calling His people to rise.
Thank you for walking through this journey with me. If these posts blessed you, please share them, like the series, and subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss future devotionals and reflections.
Let’s continue to rise—together—in faith, hope, and freedom.
Happy New Year!
