Have you ever been in someone’s presence and felt uneasy?
Perhaps you felt uncomfortable, unwelcome, or even unwanted. Something in your spirit just did not sit well with being around that person. Many of us have experienced moments like that—moments where the atmosphere around someone feels heavy or unsettling.

But being in the presence of the Lord is completely different.

When you are in His presence, you feel warmth. You feel His love surrounding you. You feel comfort filling your heart and a peace that settles deep within your soul. The presence of the Lord is not like the presence of anyone else. It carries a peace and reassurance that the world cannot offer.

When you spend time in His presence, something begins to happen.
Something shifts.

The burdens you were carrying no longer feel as heavy. The discouragement that once filled your heart begins to fade. The weight pressing on your spirit starts to lift. In the presence of the Lord, heaviness is replaced with hope.

In His presence, you receive the love He has for you.
You receive comfort for your weary heart.
You receive peace that quiets every storm within you.

The more time you spend in His presence, the more you begin to see clearly. You begin to understand who the Lord truly is. He reveals His character and His heart toward you.

He is Jehovah Jireh—your provider.
He is Jehovah Shalom—your peace.

In His presence, you receive exactly what your soul needs.

There is something powerful about being near the Lord. His presence changes you. It renews you. It strengthens you. And in ways that are sometimes difficult to explain, it makes you better than you were before.

Again, I ask you: have you ever been around someone whose presence made you feel uneasy or unsettled?

Now compare that to the presence of the Lord.

His presence is more powerful.
His presence is more enduring.
His presence is more life-giving than any other presence you will ever experience.

And when you truly encounter His presence, you will discover that it is the one place where your heart can find everything it has been searching for.
