Part 3 of The Heart Series: The Heart That Needed Healing

There are times in our lives when we unknowingly harbor things that stagnate our spiritual growth, delay our healing, and hinder our deliverance. I know this personally because I have lived through it.

I experienced fear. Doubt. Brokenness. Hopelessness. Abandonment. Mistreatment.

My heart was not just bruised — it felt ripped into tiny pieces. There were moments when the weight of those emotions caused a literal ache within me. I knew something had to change. I even thought I needed an entirely new heart.

But God.

Instead of replacing my heart, He repaired it.
He cleaned it.
He purified it.

The process was not easy — but it was worth it.

Today, I live with a heart that seeks after God. A heart set on pleasing Him and Him alone.

What’s in Your Heart Will Come Out of Your Mouth

Scripture reminds us that whatever fills our hearts eventually flows from our lips. The condition of the heart cannot stay hidden for long.

God challenges us: Will you continue in a “woe is me” posture, or will you believe My Word?

Isaiah 51:16 (Amplified) says:

“I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand… and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”

Jeremiah 1:9 declares:

“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.”

God places His Word within us for a reason — to uproot, tear down, build, and plant (Jeremiah 1:10). But whose report will you believe? The voice of pain? Or the Word of the Lord?

David prayed:

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14)

Our speech reveals our spiritual condition.

Once God begins healing the broken places of our heart, something powerful happens.

Healing doesn’t just change how we feel — it changes how we speak.

Because whatever remains in the heart will eventually surface through the mouth.

A wounded heart speaks wounded words.
A bitter heart releases bitter speech.
A fearful heart echoes doubt and unbelief.

But a healed heart?
A healed heart begins to speak life.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 12:34 that “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” This means our words are not random — they are reflections. They reveal what is still stored inside.

So, the question is no longer just, “Does your heart need healing?”

Now the question becomes:

What is still in your heart?

Because what is in your heart… will come out of your mouth.

Stay tuned as we continue the Heart Series and dive even deeper into the transformation that begins from within.
