A Life Fully Surrendered to Christ: Withholding Nothing

Yesterday, I attended church service and felt the undeniable presence of God during worship. Worship is not just something I do—it is a lifestyle for me. It is how I connect, surrender, and realign my heart with God.

During worship, we sang “Withholding Nothing” by William McDowell. I had been singing this song all week, so hearing it during corporate worship felt like confirmation from God—a reminder that I am walking in a life fully surrendered to Him.

Each morning, I commit my day and myself unto the Lord. I give the Holy Spirit charge over my thoughts, my attitude, my behavior, and how I respond to others and to the tasks set before me. This daily surrender is intentional. It is my way of saying, “Lord, lead me today.”

One line from the song deeply resonates with my spirit: “I give You all of me.”
Giving God all of me means releasing control and allowing the Holy Spirit to do what needs to be done in me and through me. The word all means exactly what it says—everything. Nothing held back. Nothing reserved.

When I sing that verse, something shifts within me. There is a change—a renewed awareness that my entire being belongs to Christ Jesus. My thoughts, my emotions, my desires, my plans… all of me.

We cannot continue holding on to things and still expect God to move fully in our lives. Surrender requires release. It requires us to lay everything at God’s feet and trust Him completely.

Letting go means no longer clinging to rejection, doubt, fear, hurt, unforgiveness, feelings of abandonment, guilt, or shame. These are the very things that weigh us down and keep us from experiencing the fullness of God’s presence and power.

When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I became His. I have been redeemed, saved, delivered, and healed. I know the Lord Jesus as my Comforter, my Healer, my Provider, and my Protector. He has proven Himself faithful time and time again.

Whatever you may be holding on to today, I pray that you find the courage, the strength, and the trust in God to let it go and leave it in His hands. True freedom is found in full surrender—and a life fully surrendered to Christ is a life withholding nothing.

Stay tuned as we continue this journey into A Life Fully Surrendered to Christ.
