Day 2: Rising When You Feel Bound and Unseen
Recognizing emotional and spiritual bondage while trusting that Jesus still sees you
Scripture:
“When Jesus saw her, He called her to Him…”
— Luke 13:12
One of the most powerful moments in this passage is not just the healing—it’s the fact that Jesus saw her.
Satan often uses our circumstances to plant destructive thoughts in our minds:
- It will always be this way.
- God doesn’t hear your prayers.
- You’ve been forgotten.
I know this because I lived it.
When I wrote a journal entry during that season of my life, I was in bondage—not physically, but emotionally and spiritually. I was losing hope in everything. It felt like my life was falling completely apart. Nothing was going right or the way I thought it should go. I was hurt, discouraged, and felt abandoned—abandoned by God.
I was at a point where I considered giving up on God altogether.
Yet, just like the woman in the synagogue, even when I felt unseen, God still saw me. Even when I was bent under the weight of despair, He had not turned His back on me.
What felt like silence was actually God working behind the scenes.
Even when you feel unseen, God is still working. Stay tuned for Day 3 of our 7 Days of Rising to Hope journey.
