There is one perfect name to call on in every season of life—whether in times of trouble, sorrow, pain, excitement, or joy—and that name is Jesus. His name alone stands above all names, carrying power, authority, comfort, and peace that no other name can provide.

I recall many moments in my life when I faced situations with uncertain outcomes—times when I didn’t know how things would turn out or what the next step should be. In those moments, calling on the name of Jesus did not always remove the situation immediately, but it gave me the strength to walk through it. I found comfort in knowing that Jesus would see me through, no matter the outcome.

Calling on His name brought peace—true peace—because Jesus is Jehovah Shalom, the God of peace. Even in the midst of chaos, His presence settled my heart and quieted my spirit.

“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.”

His name is above all names. If you are feeling ill, the name of Jesus is above all names. If you are discouraged, overwhelmed, or unsure, the name of Jesus is above all names. If you are lacking provision, call on Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. When peace feels out of reach, call on Jehovah Shalom.

Often, we turn to others for help and guidance—and that can be a good thing, especially when we are receiving sound, godly wisdom. However, when the advice we receive is not rooted in truth, it can lead us astray and leave us worse off than before. That is why it is vital to first seek the wisdom that comes from God.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach.”

I encourage you today: call on the name of Jesus. Speak His name in moments of uncertainty, pain, and joy. Trust in the power and authority of the name that stands above every other name. When everything else feels unstable, His name remains unshakable.
